Why doesnt this program talk about the element itself much? Its about the element so talk about it first - its appearance, melting point, hardness, other physical properties. I first want to know how it feels and looks, how it reacts under physical stress etc. i.e. the element itself.

Isn’t it funny how ‘academics’ who give up on their appearance end up looking such a mess. It’s quite standard. The massive hair madness is like a uniform, so in effect conforming, the opposite of the intention.

since it is less heavy than air, sound does not propagate the same and your vocal cords are moving in less dense environment so the pitch change. Under the helium bag, the Iphone is muted because sound waves propagate through air. Try it with a 12" speaker with a lot of bass next time

And here I was expecting a video about dumping a massive current through a wire in microseconds..... But then I remembered what those are called more commonly. Exploding-bridgewire detonator. And figured there might be some international regulations about sharing too much about them because of one of their most significant uses.

Conspiracy theories surface now and then to the effect that much of the gold bullion countries store actually consists of gold-plated tungsten since the two are so similar in density. As a thought experiment, what non-destructive ways are there to tell from the outside if a gold brick is solid or part tungsten? (Even if the weight were a hair off, the gold could theoretically have been slightly debased and less than 999.9 fine but given a purer plating.) Edit: Some sources show gold heavier; others, tungsten. So I don't know whom to believe!

We are in the tropics, and Barium chloride is not that easy to get for regular folks. But we have the closest relative to Barium: Calcium, in the form of Calcium Carbonate (Chalk/Lime) in large quantities. We use lime wash to create a cooling effect for the buildings in the old days, and now we are re-using lime wash to do the same function: passive cooling.
